Request for Farmers - SWCD Conservation Site

Calling Local Farmers: Put Conservation into Practice
Kanabec SWCD is inviting local farmers and producers to submit proposals to manage a portion of our conservation land just east of the City of Brunswick in Grass Lake Township off of Highway 70. This diverse site includes cropland, wetlands, mixed forest, and prairie - and is permanently protected for conservation purposes.
We’re looking for a producer who’s excited to help demonstrate land management practices that support soil health, water quality, wildlife habitat, and farm viability. Ideal proposals may include cover crops, crop rotation, perennial grains like Kernza, and wildlife-friendly food plots that align with habitat goals. All activities must support the site's conservation and educational mission.
This is a great opportunity to put your conservation-minded farming ideas into action - on a site designed to show what’s possible.
