We offer cost-share assistance to help protect and restore our local lakes. Eligible projects may include:

  • Installation of native vegetative buffers along lake shorelines
  • Stabilization of eroding shorelines using natural or engineered methods
  • Filter strips to reduce runoff into lakes
  • Practices that reduce nutrient loading from nearby land

These projects help reduce algae blooms, improve water clarity, and protect lake health for future generations.

Shoreline Restoration Policy
We know policies and requirements aren’t always the fun part - but they’re essential for ensuring shoreline and stream restoration projects truly support water quality and long-term conservation goals. These minimum standards make it possible for us to partner on projects that not only protect the beauty and function of our land and water resources, but also support wise, sustainable use that meets the needs of local landowners while helping build a more resilient watershed.
